Emma Stone is in “negotiations” to replace Michelle Williams in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Tony Award-winning production, her rep confirmed to the Daily News.
“Emma Stone is in negotiations to make her Broadway debut as ‘Sally Bowles’ in ‘Cabaret’ on Broadway at Roundabout Theatre Company,” the rep said Monday.
“The Amazing Spider-Man” star would step in after Williams run on the show.
“Michelle Williams recently extended her run as ‘Sally Bowles’ opposite Alan Cumming as ‘Emcee’ through November 9,” the rep added.
Stone, 25, was previously set to join the production but dropped out due scheduling difficulties, according to Arts Beat.
While this would be the “Magic in the Moonlight” actress’ Broadway debut, she did get a taste of the stage during her childhood when performing at the Valley Youth Theater in Phoenix.
“‘Cabaret’ is playing a limited run on Broadway through January 4, 2015,” the rep told The News.
